How the coop benefits me

I do almost all my shopping at the Co-op, and I can get lots of nice organic food for me and for my family. It’s a wonderful little community where you can find the answers to the most obscure questions, and get your shopping done at the same time. What more could you ask for?

The coop makes me want to cook better food. And it’s an open book.

Board meetings
At the Co-op we take openness and transparency seriously.
If you’re a member, you’re invited to come along to any monthly board meeting.
These are on the third Tuesday of the month in the Co-op Office at 7:15pm.
The Co-op office is above Fresh Cafe, entry is from Ha’penny Lane, up the marble stairs and through the double sliding frosted doors.
Please contact us if you’d like find out more, or if you’d like to come along to a meeting, or if you have something you think should be on the agenda at our next meeting.
Things you need to know about the board and how it works….
There are 7 board positions, one of which is a dedicated employee position. Currently we have 4 directors and 1 employee director. There are 2 casual vacancies.
Nominations are usually called for about 2 months before the AGM in November of each year. Any current member can stand for nomination to be a director.
Director positions are honorary and for a term of 2 years. At the end of the 2 year term you can renominate for another 2 year term.
Directors receive a 20% discount (20% less than member prices!) off all of their shopping at the Co-op.
If you are interested in nominating for the position of director, we suggest you attend board meetings for at least 3 months to see how we operate. For further information contact Shelley.
